I am sure that many of you have noticed the strange effects the mysterious fog is having on everyone... I believe it best to stay inside and, if possible, away from all doors and windows. Yes. [ to Chloe. ] ...all of you are equipped with a standard set of armor and your weapon. Both of course depend on the roll that you've chosen. In addition! all of you have a total of three hundred gold pieces and have been given a small pack that contains a bed roll, a pair of flares, rations for five days, a length of rope, and a canteen for water.
...and since the Elven Priest is still standing right there he's going to laugh nervously. He says that since you've agreed to help, the least he can do is provide you with some information. He goes into detail about how the orc encampment hadn't always been there. It was something that had popped up recently, ...at least within the last year.
Since the creatures have not only slayed, but also kidnapped his people he's sent many of his best men to go up there and stop them. He's had no luck, however, ...and only one man has ever returned. Dured... he tells you. He's a Dwarven Rogue and ever since his return to town he's held up in his home. He comes out on occasion, but he rarely speaks to anybody, ...and Tharilor will also tell you that this hadn't always been the case. He used to be the life of the party, that little Dwarf, always spending his time and his gold at the Tarvern. He suggests looking there or, if you're feeling lucky, going to Dured's home.
Because it's getting late, Tharilor will also tell you that you're free to spend the night at the Inn. He's secured several rooms there for your party, ...unless you'd like to begin your adventure tonight.

Your potion idea is a good one and I have a few things to buy as well. I can go with whoever wants to head to the store for the potions.
[He intends to buy something to start a fire with that isn't a flare, a lighter or flint maybe, depending on what they have. A few spare bags and maybe a bit of spice, pepper, again if they have it. ]

I agree with almost everything that's been said. I'll gladly volunteer to fetch some supplies before heading for the Inn for the night.
[He'd managed to slip a peek at some of the papers that fell out of the D and D box originally, and tonight was supposed to be a new moon... his powers were stronger closer to the full moon.. so he didn't exactly wish to be out as night either. He debated whether he should confirm the phase of the moon with the dm or not...]

Strings for a lyre and check on the price of shields, we can do that. Is there anything you would need Mercutio? No? Then we can leave.
[He doesn't wait for the answer but instead takes off in the direction of the marketplace assuming the two others in the shopping party will follow him. You can tell he likes Mercutio already. ]
